Options paper trading is available now! It allows our clients to experience the options trading with virtual funds. Whether you have traded options or not, you can paper trade options to explore and learn at 0-cost. Just don’t forget the risks of options trading when you decide to do real options trading.

1. Place an options paper trade (Tap Menu > Paper Trade > Option Trade).

2. Cancel or edit a paper trade order.

3. Close a contract.

FAQs

Q: How many options order types are there?

A: Market, limit, stop, and stop limit.

Q: Can I paper trade options during extended hours?

A: No, there is no extended market hours trading for options. You can trade options during regular market hours (9:30 to 16:00 ET).

Q: Are the quotes the same as the real market quotes?

A: The quotes in paper trading are the same as the real market quotes. You will be offered the same real-time quote if you have subscribed to the OPRA quotes on your real account, or you will see the quotes with 15 mins delay.

Q: How to exercise or early exercise my contracts?

A: We don’t support exercising options currently. The options contracts will be liquidated at the closing price on the expiration date.

Q: Can I edit my opening orders?

A: You can edit the limit order’s price and quantity, but market orders can only be edited by the quantity currently.

Q: What happens to my options positions if the company has corporate actions?

A: The contract will be liquidated at the closing price of the day.

Q: Can I open a position with non-standard options?

A: No, we don’t support opening a new position with non-standard options currently.
